Ryan Garcia has once again called out boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr., saying the former five-division world champion has reached out for a potential fight
.
In a Facebook post on Monday, Garcia wrote: "You are about your money right - ima tell in the ring how much that doesn't really matter at the end of the day. I'm ready to take that torch - you reached out to me and wanted this known so now the people know you want to fight me. LETS GO 50-1 im take that little 0 you worship so much."
The post comes after boxing pages Happy Punch and FightHype reported that Floyd Mayweather vs Ryan Garcia is reportedly now in talks.
As of this writing, there is no official confirmation from Floyd Mayweather or Mayweather Promotions. Mayweather, who retired with a perfect 50-0 record in 2017, has been focused on exhibition bouts. His planned exhibition against Mike Tyson in Spring 2026 was previously reported as postponed, while his rematch with Manny Pacquiao has been moved to early 2027.
Garcia (24-2, 20 KOs) is coming off a second-round stoppage win over Conor Benn on September 13 in Las Vegas. Mayweather (50-0, 27 KOs) last fought professionally against Conor McGregor in 2017.
If the bout materializes, it is expected to be an exhibition and not a sanctioned professional fight that would affect Mayweather's official record.
